Hiya!
Since arriving home from Europe on Friday, I’ve been non stop on the go. Post work trips, we always have a two week fall out so times have been crazy.
HOWEVER, today kicks off Memorial Day Weekend and Chris and I are heading down to my favorite place in the world, Spring Lake, tonight.
Our first stop will be my favorite ice cream shop in the world:

I’ve been going to Hoffman’s since before I can remember and I’ve only ever gotten one thing - vanilla soft serve, M&Ms, medium cup. One thing, 27 years. Can’t say I’m not loyal folks….I’ve NEVER been to the other ice cream parlor in Spring Lake. I just. can’t. do. it. Ever.
I hope you all enjoy your long weekends. I’ll be back to regular mindless blogging very soon I promise. Having a big girl job is certainly testing my blog life, my workout life, and my social life but I honestly could not be happier right now with all aspects of life.
PS- I’ve been absent minded lately and have thought of nothing but work. So, I accidentally paid one of my credit cards twice and now have a -1000 dollar balance. Free money? Wheeee!
WHEN did this happen and WHY was I not informed?
Just because I’m overseas doesn’t mean I should be out of the loop, people. I have to keep up with my couple crushes.
So we went to Harrod’s today.
I am seriously under the weather but Chris wouldn’t allow his “professional shopper” wife to leave London without the experience.
So, we hopped in a cab and went.
Meh.
It was kind of like a giant, sensory overloaded Neiman Marcus.
I did find this though:

Marc Jacbos Quilted Baroque XL.
This could satiate my desire for both a Chanel Black and a Louis Messenger.
Hmmmm. At the end of this 5 week trip I will make a decision.
STAY TUNED FOR THE LIFE ALTERING CONCLUSION.

There’s something about this look that I really enjoy. However, I can only imagine the looks on the faces of my mother and sister if I rolled in with leopard pants.
Sweets and hearts and hearts and sweets.
Just returned from a magical theater date to see the famous 60 year running Mousetrap play. We thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end.
Had dinner at a charming little pub beforehand and ended the night with a stroll and some ice cream.
The chance to live and work abroad AND experience it all with my beloved husband makes my heart skip a beat, not only for him but also for my job and company. They work us hard, that is for sure, but the opportunities cannot go unnoticed.
Cheerio!
I have a one week layover in London before I go back to Amsterdam.
The day I arrived, I met Chris at Heathrow in a very Love Actually reunion scene. It was amazing to see my hubster after two weeks apart.
We stormed the town and toured our butts off on day one.

Doesn’t this photo look fake? Its not.

Right before we had tea with the Queen.
I’ve got a billion more pictures from day one. I’m now working in our London office and touring the town after hours. Everything is working out so well and I’m getting a little worried with how in love I am with Europe.
Cheers!
I just feel the need to address this.

Someone posted this quote on their blog the other day and I almost threw up all over my office. I don’t think its unclear how close I am to my parents or how much I love them and regard them as the best people ever. I’m all for parent/child relationships. HOWEVER “you will be his first kiss” literally makes me want to throw myself from a building. People who kiss their children on the lips gross me out so much I can’t even take it.
Your first kiss is supposed to be in the throws of hormones raging between the ages of 13-16, NOT a kiss from your parent of the opposite sex. VOMIT ALL OVER THE PLACE.
I really hope this saying doesn’t take. I don’t even want it on my blog I just feel so strongly about parents NOT kissing their children on the lips I needed to do a PSA.
If you don’t know the story of Oedipus, here is a crash course for you.
Don’t tell me how much its out of pure love or whatever way you justify kissing your children on the lips. Its gross. That’s it. Stop it. Everyone is staring and talking behind your back.

See you soon, Paris.
Oh Paris, how I long to see you.
Wah wah, I’m in Amsterdam and flying to London on Sunday. Poor me.
Annnnnd its that point of the trip.

I miss my hubby.
I miss him a lot.
I want to hold his hand.
Pout.
Hey You Two!

Your anniversary is coming soon and I’m flying to London on Sunday just to say hello and discuss our first years as newlyweds. We can compare notes. I’ve made reservations for dinner at 7:30pm on Sunday night so Kate, BBM me and I’ll let you know the location.
You are the cutest.
I might be obsessed with you both.
Best,
Erin
Greetings!
So sorry for my absence friends. I just did my timesheet for the past week and I worked 93 hours. CRIPES!
The good news is I am IN LOVE with Amsterdam. I’ve moved in for a month and I honestly can’t get enough of the people, the places and the clean air. I can actually breath and I don’t need to get a facial every 3 days. Incredible!
Here is a photo I took that I might have blown up and framed. I think its incredible. I love this town.

Believe it or not, this is the Red Light District and you can clearly see “Chocolate Corner” from this shot. Leave it to the Netherlands to have the most charming hookertown.
SPOILER ALERT
When Chris and I make our bagillions and build our dream house and have our super fancy cocktail housewarming/charity gala, I will be wearing this:

Isaac Mizrahi for Kleinfeld. (Yes I do want to wear a wedding dress again. Sup?)
PS. I’m living in Europe for the next month.
PPS. Work is hard and makes blogging harder.
